Plantronics Savi APP-51 Electronic Hookswitch (EHS) cable for Polycom Phones - communicates electronically with the phone, eliminating the need for the HL10 lifter. This cable is compatible with:

** Note: When using a Polycom sidecar on phone and the APP-51. You require 85638-01 extension cable so the APP-51 cable can reach sidecar.

Software Requirements

Polycom phones must run SIP application 3.1 or higher and BootROM 4.1.0 or later, except for the SoundPoint IP 670, which must SIP application 3.0.2 or higher and BootROM 4.1.0 or later.

Set the headset mode on your  Polycom phone to "Plantronics Mode" before connecting your Plantronics headset your phone:

1. Press Menu.
2. Navigate to Menu > Settings > Basic > Preferences > Headset > Analog Headset (On VVX 1500 phones, navigate to Menu > Settings > Basic > Preferences)
3. Select Headset > Hookswitch Mode (if shown) 
4. Choose Plantronics if an EHS-compatible Plantronics headset is attached with an Plantronics EHS cable.

If your caller reports an echo, the phone’s echo cancellation feature can be enabled by:

1. Press Menu.
2. Select Settings > Basic > Preferences > Headset > Echo Cancellation > Enabled.
